LAPD Celebrates Grand Opening Of Topanga Cadet And Youth Building

City Council members and other officials will attend the celebration for the new home base for many of the LAPD's programs.

City leaders will join Los Angeles police today to mark the grand opening of a center to house the Topanga area’s cadet and youth programs.

The Los Angeles Police Department will hold a grand opening reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its PAL Topanga Youth Center on the campus of Canoga High School in Canoga Park.

City Council members Bob Blumenfield and Mitchell Englander are expected to join police officials and others to mark the occasion.

The center will be the home base for LAPD’s police activities league, cadet, junior cadet and other youth programs.

The event will also include games, activities and dental check-ups. The organization Grab A Ball and Play will also give away a free ball to each child who attends the grand opening.
