May 30: Sumac Health Fair; Kids' Cartooning Class

Donate blood and learn healthy living at Sumac's Health Fair, take the little ones to story time at the library and take the kids to Kid Club at the Lakes.

The Children's Hospital Maxmobile will be accepting blood donations from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus. Chef LaLa (cheflala.com) will be onhand to show students and parents how to incorporate more fresh fruit and vegetables on their snacks and lunches. The students will be visiting "healthy habits" stations (exercising, dental health, activities from choosemyplate.gov, cooking demo).

3. Spring Storytime at the Library

Take your little one to this class held at the at 11 a.m. for stories, music, finger plays and art activities to promote early learning.

4. Kids Club at the Lakes in Thousand Oaks

The Kids Club at The Lakes meets every Wednesday of the month at 11 a.m. Events are outdoors; rain generally cancels events but call first. This week, the attraction is Puppets on Parade. Contact The Lakes for more information at 805.497.9861 or www.shoplakes.com.

5. Kids Cartooning at Westlake Village Library

Whether you love to draw, or simply like to doodle, you can learn a lot about the art of cartooning in this class, offered monthly at 4 p.m. at the Westlake Village Library (31220 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village). For children ages 6-12. For more information, call 818-865-9230.
