AGOURA HILLS, CA — Memorial Day has finally arrived, promising a much needed break, burger and trip to the beach to kick off the unofficial start of the summer. But will the weather in Agoura Hills allow for an outdoor barbecue?

Agoura Hills will see sunny weather leading up to the holiday. Friday brought some clouds and temperatures maxing out at 72 degrees, with the sun peaking through all day. Saturday will be a bit cooler with a high of 70 degrees and low clouds breaking in the afternoon.

The clouds will clear and the temperatures will rise just in time for Memorial Day in Agoura Hills. AccuWeather forecasts a high of 74 degrees on Sunday and 76 Monday. The days are sure to be filled with plenty of sunshine.

But don't forget to pack sunscreen. The ultraviolet index index level for Agoura Hills will reach 11 Sunday and 12 Monday, meaning a fair-skinned person could suffer a sunburn in about four minutes if not protected.

Planning on heading to the beach? The rip current is predicted to be moderate with 2-4 foot waves and no thunderstorm potential. The water will be cold, around 61-64 degrees Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service for Los Angeles and Oxnard.
