4 Stolen Vehicles Recovered, 8 Arrests

ALAMEDA, CA — Four stolen vehicles were recovered in Alameda in a 72-hour period, the Alameda Police Department announced.

The stolen vehicle recoveries resulted in eight arrests.

During the arrests, police also seized stolen property, weapons, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.

"Our officers are proactively patrolling areas prone to vehicle thefts," the police department reported. "They also prioritize their response to automated license plate reader notifications in an effort to reunite vehicle owners with their property."

Some of the suspects arrested also had outstanding warrants for other crimes. Others were repeat offenders and were found to be in violation of their parole or probation terms.
