Stolen Vehicle Arrests Made In Alameda
Police credit their automated license plate readers with alerting them to the stolen vehicle.

ALAMEDA, CA — Two people were arrested in Alameda on Tuesday for possession of a stolen vehicle and outstanding felony warrants. A third person was checked out but released.
The police department returned the car to its rightful owner.
Officers also recovered ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
The chain of events began when an automated license plate reader notified officers of a stolen vehicle near the South Shore Shopping Center.
An officer located the vehicle and called for backup. With additional officers at the scene, officers were able to recover the vehicle and make the arrests.
