ALAMEDA, CA — East Bay Regional Park District Police arrested a man last weekend for unprovoked assaults at Crown Memorial State Beach. The attacks followed similar assaults on three people on Shorepoint Court on March 7.

Alameda Police investigated the Shorepoint cases. "Three victims were identified, all assaulted by the same individual. The incidents appeared to be unprovoked."

The man arrested at Crown Memorial State Beach matched the description of the suspect in the APD cases.

"After being interviewed by APD, the person was booked for multiple offenses. If you witnessed any of these incidents, please call APD's Investigation Unit at 510-337-8402."

Police said that if you witness a crime being committed, call 911 immediately.
