Albany Educator Takes Reins at Alameda School
Jessica Murray of Albany began a new chapter in her career as a educator this month, August 2013, as the principal of Saint Philip Neri Catholic School in Alameda.

Saint Philip Neri Catholic School began its new school year Monday with a new principal, Jessica Murray of Albany.
Prior to joining the Saint Philip Neri community, Murray taught at Corpus Christi School in Piedmont for 11 years and served on the administrative team for four years, according to a school press release.
Murray holds a BA in economics, an MBA in international management and a teaching credential. She has been married for 18 years and lives with her two daughters and husband in Albany.
As a master teacher, Murray also mentored new teachers.
“I’m thrilled to join the close-knit and spiritual community of Saint Philip Neri,” Murray said.
“Over the summer I had the pleasure of meeting with the members of the parish, students, parents, faculty and staff.
"I’m looking forward to this school year and to join the parents, teachers, and staff to promote respectful, responsible, life long learners.”
The 271-student Saint Philip Neri school is a K-8 Catholic school at 1335 High St. in Alameda and has students from several East Bay communities.
