Albany Fire Truck Gest Nose Bleed – Head Propped Up
When Patch happened by the Albany Fire Department Monday afternoon, the big hook-and-ladder truck appeared in distress, with its cab tilted 45 degrees into the air like a stuck carnival ride and a red fluid leaking from its front end.

In case you ever wondered how they lift the hood to get to the engine on Albany's big hook-and-ladder fire truck, you can see in the attached photo.
Albany Patch happened to wander by the Fire Department Monday afternoon and found that firefighters were seeking the source of a small amount of red fluid that was leaking from the nose-end of the vehicle.
They had done what you have to do when you want to get to the rig's engine, which sits under the cab. They tilted the cab into the air.
The leak didn't appear serious when Patch left – possibly fluid from a leaky power steering line.
