Canceled: AHS Grad Night Party, a School Tradition
This year's grad night party for Albany High School seniors, a late-night school tradition, has been canceled because too few students signed up and too few parents volunteered, the grad night committee announced today, Tuesday.

The traditional all-night "grad night party" following this coming Friday's graduation at Albany High School has been canceled, according to a notice from the Grad Nght Committee on the school e-tree this afternoon, Tuesday.
The cancelation is due to an insufficient number of students signing up parent volunteers, the committee said.
This year's graduation takes place Friday, and the party was planned for that evening at Albany Bowl with a DJ, a Photo Booth and other activities.
The grad night party is a school tradition that takes place late in the evening and early morning hours after the graduation ceremony and family celebrations.
Those who purchased the $40 tickets and made donations will receive refunds, the committee said.
Here is the full announcement:
We are sorry to say that the Grad Night Party at the bowling alley has been cancelled. Too few students had signed up as of yesterday and too few parents had volunteered to help. Refunds are already on their way to students who have paid for a ticket and refunds will be sent to parents who donated.
We wish sincere congratulations to all Albany High graduates for their hard work and accomplishments. Please stay safe on graduation night.
