Chance to Help Cerrito Creek at Albany Hill
Volunteers are welcome for a work party to rid lower Cerrito Creek next to Albany Hill of invasive plants on Saturday, Aug. 24. Tools, gloves and snacks will be provided by Friends of Five Creeks.

Volunteers who'd like to help clear Cerrito Creek at Albany Hill of invasive plants and trash are invited to join the Friends of Five Creeks at 10 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 24) for a work party and a chance to learn about the history of the important creek.
No RSVP required. Just show up at Creekside Park on the El Cerrito side of the creek in closed-toe shoes with good traction. Long pants and sleeves are recommended.
"Light and heavy work for all -- all ages welcome!" says the event announcment. "Young children can enjoy the play structure or splash in the creek. Tools, gloves, snacks, water, and good company provided."
