Community Funds Committee Announces 2016 Annual Community Funds Grant Cycle
The grant aims to give funds to NPOs that have essential programs for youth to participate in throughout the community.

From The Community Funds Committee: The Community Funds Committee, composed of a group of civic- minded members within the Oakland/Berkeley Association of REALTORS® (OBAR) since 2006, is proud to announce the 2016 Annual Community Funds Grant Cycle to provide grant awards to non-profit community programs offering essential community programs in Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Kensington, Oakland, Piedmont and Richmond. The Community Fund was established to address two firm beliefs - that our children represent our future and that housing is a fundamental need. We endeavor to support community programs providing unique needs and services within the categories of Youth Arts & Education, Workforce Housing & Homeless and Senior Services & Community Activities. Funds are raised from regular agent commission contributions, donations from vendors, affiliate partners, corporate sponsors, and participants in the Oral Lee Brown 5K walk-a- thon. Community members also donate time to some of the organizations we help support, like Rebuilding Together.
For this 2016 Cycle, we plan to award funds at a pubic reception held in April 2017. The grant submission process starts on 1/31/2017 and is open through 3/31/2017. The grant application is available at https://grants.oaklandberkeley... and qualification guidelines are included in the Grant Application information. Additional information can be found by contacting the Oakland/Berkeley Association of Realtors at 510-809- 4544.
