Saint Mary's, Cal Alum Debuts in Major Leagues Tonight
Marcus Semien, who played baseball at St. Mary's College High and UC Berkeley, makes his Major Leagues debut tonight, Tuesday, when he takes the field with the Chicago White Sox.

Marcus Semien, a baseball standout who played at St. Mary's College High School and UC Berkeley, is getting his shot at the Big Leagues today, Tuesday.
The 22-year-old shortstop, who's from El Cerrito and graduated from Saint Mary's in 2008, has been called up from the minor leagues and will join the Chicago White Sox's expanded 40-man roster this evening.
This year, he hit .290 in 105 games for Double-A Birmingham and .262 in 31 games for Triple-A Charlotte.
