The event promises an evening filled with delicious sushi, classic Chanukah latkes, a full open bar, and nonstop laughter for the entire community.
Sandy Hackett has carved out his own celebrated path in the world of comedy as a performer, writer, and producer, blending warmth, wit, and masterful storytelling. A longtime Las Vegas headliner, Sandy operated successful comedy clubs in both Las Vegas and Laughlin, earning a devoted following for his distinctive comedic style.
Together with his wife, Lisa Miller—daughter of iconic songwriter Ron Miller—Sandy created Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack, now in its 15th year and recognized as the most successful and original theatrical Rat Pack production touring the nation. The show continues to receive critical acclaim and attract audiences in theaters from coast to coast.
Sandy also stars in My Buddy, a heartfelt and comedic theatrical tribute to his father. Directed by Lisa Miller, the production premiered to glowing reviews and standing ovations at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and is currently touring nationwide.

Ever dreamed of stepping into an art masterpiece? Now’s your chance! The world-famous Pageant of the Masters will host its annual Open Casting Call from January 9–11, 2026 on the Festival of Arts grounds in Laguna Beach. Participants can sign up for both on-stage and backstage roles for the upcoming 2026 Pageant production, "The Greatest of All Time," which will run July 9 - September 4, 2026. 
Open Casting Call will take place at 650 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, CA, on the following dates:


<ul><li>Friday, January 9, 7–9 pm</li><li>Saturday, January 10, 1–4 pm (Family Fun Fest)</li><li>Sunday, January 11, 1–4 pm (Family Fun Fest)</li></ul>
Volunteers of all ages are invited to join the world’s most famous presentation of tableaux vivants—either on stage or behind the scenes. On-stage roles involve posing in live re-creations of artwork, while backstage volunteers help with makeup, costumes, and headpieces. No experience is required—training will be provided. During the Casting Call, participants will have photos taken and measurements recorded, and guests can preview some of the 2026 Pageant artwork up close. No appointments are necessary. Family Fun Fest Returns—Now Bigger Than Ever
Adding to the excitement of Casting Call and back by popular demand, the Festival grounds will come alive with the return of the Family Fun Fest—now bigger than ever, with two days of activities on Saturday and Sunday, January 10 and 11, from 1 to 4 pm. Visitors can enjoy music, games, face painting, art projects, and food from local favorite food trucks like Feeding Frenzy and Los Compadres. Volunteers who sign up during the Fest will receive a voucher for one free item from a participating food truck.
Backstage guests can also get an up close look at Pageant sets and take photos, enjoy snacks, and explore the Bizarre Bazaar, which includes Pageant stage props, artwork, costumes, and other one-of-a-kind treasures for sale with proceeds supporting scholarships and arts programming at the Festival of Arts.

SHUNTA MORIMOTO Shunta Morimoto was born in Kyoto, Japan, in December 2004. From a very early age he showed remarkable pianistic gifts. At the age of twelve, he won the prestigious first prize of the Piano Teachers Association of Japan, as well as the Fukuda Scholarship Award, one of the most important prizes for a Japanese musician today. This scholarship allowed him to study with some of the leading pianists and pedagogues in the world. He took part in the Van Cliburn Junior Competition in Dallas, Texas, in May 2019 to much public acclaim and his extraordinary performances went viral on the internet, gaining him a large global following of admirers, musicians and critics. Noted for his advocacy of American and contemporary music, conductor, arranger and pianist Scott Dunn has a special interest in cross-over and film composers – ranging from George Gershwin and Richard Rodney Bennett to Leonard Rosenman and Danny Elfman. As conductor, Dunn has served as Associate Conductor for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra since 2012 and previously held positions at Pittsburgh, Glimmerglass and New York City Operas. He also serves as music director for the Parnassus Society and regularly presents opera in concert at the Soka Performing Arts Center with his Parnassus Society Orchestra.

 FEATURED ARTISTS: Don Was, bass guitar, guitar, vocals, piano, songwriter, producer, The Pan Detroit Ensemble You could fill both a record store and a hat store with the albums DON WAS has touched and the lids he’s donned on the way to six GRAMMY®s, an Emmy, a BAFTA, and the respect of musicians and fans of all ages worldwide. In nearly 50 years in the music business the Was (Not Was) bandleader has collaborated with an astonishing list of top-flight artists in pursuit of making a truthful, transcendent, healing and joyful noise. As a producer, songwriter, recording artist, music supervisor, documentarian, musical director, radio host, multi-instrumentalist, and President of Blue Note Records, Was has been enthusiastically and fearlessly genre fluid, moving freely across rock, pop, jazz, country, reggae, R&amp;B, and world music. For his work as a record producer, he has won six GRAMMY® Awards – including Album of the Year in 1989 for Bonnie Raitt’s Nick of Time and Producer of the Year in 1994. Records that Don has produced have sold close to 100 million albums for a wide array of artists like The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, John Mayer, Ringo Starr, Wayne Shorter, The B52s and Charles Lloyd. In 1995 he produced and directed a documentary about the life of Brian Wilson, I Just Wasn’t Made For These Times, that won the San Francisco Film Festival’s Golden Gate Award. As a film composer, he won the 1994 British Academy Award (BAFTA) for Best Original Score in recognition of his work on the film Backbeat. He won the 2014 Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction for his work on the CBS TV special The Beatles: The Night That Changed America. In 2018 Don was invited to join Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir to form the Wolf Brothers. They continue to consistently tour the US. In 2011 Was became President of the iconic jazz label Blue Note Records. He fiercely protects the company’s eighty-five-year-old legacy, meticulously caretaking the revered catalog of Black American Music. This includes maintaining the availability and quality of vinyl reissues in the Tone Poet and Classic Jazz audiophile release series. He also signs and produces many of the label’s recent roster of artists including, Robert Glasper, Charles Lloyd, Wayne Shorter, Dr Lonnie Smith, Gregory Porter and Jason Moran. Don’s deep Detroit roots keep him anchored to the city where, where for the last 15 years he has music directed and played bass in the Don Was Detroit All Star Revue concerts which are part of Detroit’s annual diversity festival, The Concert of Colors. From 2009-2012 Don hosted a weekly Sirius XM radio show on the Outlaw Country channel called The Motor City Hayride. Since 2021, he co-hosts a weekly, live radio show on Detroit’s NPR station, WDET-FM called The Don Was Motor City Playlist. Don is also the voice of Neville the Dog in the hit Amazon Prime Video children’s show, Pete the Cat.

 Trevor Hall and The Great In-Between marks the start of a new era for musician Trevor Hall. Releasing September 15th, 2023 on Hall’s own 3 Rivers Label, the highly-anticipated record delivers a future-folk masterpiece anchored in Hall’s beloved style blending roots and folk with subtle electronic textures, while simultaneously bringing a refreshing new sound to the forefront. Created solely within the confines of a barn-turned-studio in his own backyard, this record marks the first of Hall’s career where he helmed every aspect of the production process. Penned without external influence and from a purely creative and explorative space, Trevor Hall and the Great In-Between unveils raw and unfiltered facets of Hall that remain undiscovered. Hailing from a small island in South Carolina, Hall was raised in a musical family and began formally studying classical guitar in high school at Idyllwild Arts Academy. Quickly thrust into the world of major labels, Hall signed a record deal at the young age of sixteen. After realizing the restrictive nature of such deals, he decided to pave his own way and reclaim his artistic freedom. Starting in 2017, he began releasing music independently. Since then, Hall has sold hundreds of thousands of albums and amassed billions of streams, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless listeners. His memorable live performances have graced venues around the world, including multiple sold-out headline shows at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater. Hall currently resides in Colorado with his wife, author &amp; photographer Emory Hall, as well as his son.
