Caltech 32nd Annual Bandorama to be Held Friday and Saturday
The program will feature Caltech-Occidental Concert Band and the Caltech Jazz Bands, with Altadena resident William Bing serving as director.
Caltech will hold its 32nd annual Bandorama program on Friday and Saturday, with Altadena resident William Bing serving as director and Altadena resident Frank Ticheli serving as guest conductor.
The program will be held Friday night and Saturday night at 8 p.m. at the Ramo Auditorium at Caltech. Admission is free.
The groups performing are the Caltech-Occidental Concert Band and the two Caltech Jazz Bands, which draw their musicians from the students, faculty, staff and alumni of the California Institute of Technology and Occidental College, the Caltech-administered Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the local community

Bing, according to his Caltech bio, has been teaching at Caltech for over thirty years and has played and recorded with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Pasadena Symphony, the California Philharmonic, the American Ballet, the Los Angeles Opera, and the Harlem Ballet.
