How Did Altadena Vote?
Altadena's turnout was significantly higher than the county's as a whole. See how Altadenans voted in the races on Tuesday's election.

While just over 17 percent of registered voters in Los Angeles County cast ballots in Tuesday's primary, almost 24 percent of Altadena voters showed up to the polls.
According to a press release provided by the Registrar-Recorder/Clerks office, only 765,552 registered voter, or 17.2 percent, in Los Angeles County voted in Tuesday's Election. That percentage is down from 23.47 percent in 2010.
In Altadena this year, 6,445 people voted on at least one contest on the ballot, out of 27,225 registered voters, a 23.67 percent turnout.

Altadena voters overwhelmingly voted for Chris Holden in the 41st Assembly race, Carol Liu in the 25th State Senate race, and Judy Chu in the 27th District congressional race. All three of those candidates were the top vote-getters overall in their races.
In the PUSD Districting Measure A, 58.2 percent of those who vote supported the measure, outpacing the 54.6 overall 'yes' vote the measure got across the board.

A majority of Altadena voters also voted in favor of both the Proposition 28 term limits measure, which passed, and Proposition 29, the state tobacco tax hike, which failed.
3,752 Altadenans voted for President Obama in the Democratic primary and 1,326 Altadenans cast votes in the GOP Primary. Of those Republican voters, 995 cast a ballot for Mitt Romney and 170 voted for Ron Paul. Other GOP candidates got minimal support.
