2 Hurt in Home Invasion Robbery, Carjacking

DUARTE, CA - Two people were assaulted in an attempted home invasion robbery and carjacking this afternoon in Duarte, authorities said.

The robbery attempt was reported at 12:55 p.m. in the 2100 block of Rim Road, said Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

Three male suspects were at large, but descriptions were not immediately available, Jansen said.

The unidentified victims were taken to a hospital for treatment of non- life-threatening injuries, she said.
