2 New Marriott Hotels May Replace 'Dilapidated' Santa Anita Inn

The Santa Anita Inn in Arcadia may be replaced with two new hotels. 

Andrew Chang, of Continental Assets Management, went before the Arcadia City Council in a special study session last week and presented a plan for the property at 130 W. Huntington Dr., according to the Pasadena Star-News. 

The new construction would include a Residence Inn and a Fairfield Inn and Suites, which are both owned by Marriott. Phase two of the $120 million project would include a 50-unit hotel/condominium after both hotels were up and running, according to the report.

“It’s kind of in a dilapidated state right now,” said Chang Jr., according to the Star News “It’s a great location for a hotel right across from the racetrack.”

The Santa Anita Inn was built in 1955.
