Phase two of the $120 million project would include a 50-unit hotel/condominium.

The Santa Anita Inn in Arcadia may be replaced with two new hotels.

Andrew Chang, of Continental Assets Management, went before the Arcadia City Council in a special study session last week and presented a plan for the property at 130 W. Huntington Dr., according to the Pasadena Star-News

The new construction would include a Residence Inn and a Fairfield Inn and Suites, which are both owned by Marriott. Phase two of the $120 million project would include a 50-unit hotel/condominium after both hotels were up and running, according to the report.

“It’s kind of in a dilapidated state right now,” said Chang Jr., according to the Star News “It’s a great location for a hotel right across from the racetrack.”

The Santa Anita Inn was built in 1955.
