9/11 Memorial Events Around Town
The Arcadia Police and Fire departments will read the names of the first responders who died on 9/11.

The Arcadia Fire and Police departments will mark the 11th anniversary of 9/11 with a moment of silence honoring the those who died in the terrorist attack. Flags will be lowered to half-staff.
Here is a schedule of events:
- 6:45 a.m. — Fire and Police Department personnel, dressed in full uniform, will gather in front of the flag pole at their respective stations.
- 6:59 a.m. —Dispatch will clear the airwaves and request a moment of silence to mark the time the plane struck the first tower.
- 7 a.m. — Designated firefighters and police officers will read the names of the New York Fire and Police department personnel who perished on 9/11.
- Coffee in the lobby will of Station 105 at 710 S. Santa Anita will follow the tributes.
