
The Arcadia baseball team beat Temple City 4-3 on Tuesday night to advance to the finals of the Elks Tournament.
Junior pitcher Erik Trask threw five scoreless innings and struck out seven to lead the Apaches (2-1). Trask also went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
Trask led off the game with a single and then advanced to third base on a failed pickoff attempt by Temple City. Tyler Dominguez doubled Trask in for the first run of the game, and then Brandon Campbell drove in Dominguez with a sacrifice fly for a 2-0 lead.

The Apaches scored in the third and fifth innings to extend their lead to 4-0. Temple City scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth, but Darren Kerfoot pitched a 1-2-3 seventh to save the game.
Arcadia plays at San Dimas on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the tournament championship game.
