Hiring: Performing Arts Center Manager

Do you have a background in theater arts coupled with the ability to meet strict deadlines? The may have a job for you.

The district has begun the search for someone to manage its new Performing Arts Center . The $25 million, 40,000-square-foot center boasts state-of-the-art acoustics, ground level and mezzanine seating for 1,200 and a stage that can accommodate up to 150 musicians, among other accoutrements.

According to the job description the school board approved, the PAC manger would:

• Organize the technical aspects of all productions or other uses of the PAC.
• Provide support for the Theater Arts Program.
• Help "establish the reputation of the PAC as a venue for high quality student, community and professional performances." 
• Supervise and direct the work of assigned support staff.

Applicants must have at least a high school diploma, along with some coursework or training in theater production, and be willing to work towards a Technical Theater credential.
