Among the revelations, according to the federal criminal complaint:

• Kurniawan’s purported vintages raised red flags among wine connoisseurs because of improper bottles, labels and other details;
• He allegedly pledged artworks as collateral against more than one multimillion dollar loan;
• He had $11 million in personal debts (!), which he understated on loan applications.
