Negotiations Resume For Rusnak Mercedes-Benz Expansion

The state's approval of the property management plan gives the project the green light.

Arcadia city officials resumed negotiations with Rusnak-Arcadia Mercedes Benz over a decade old expansion plan, a plan that stalled following the end of redevelopment agencies, according to a story in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Arcadia is the first city to have a long-range property management plan to be approved by the state, allowing Rusnak to purchase four commercial properties from the former Redevelopment Agency for its expansion project.

City officials say continuing negotiations involve the sale of two acres for $2.8 million, which officials say will guarantee the city $800,000 in sales tax over the next 10 years.
