Santa Anita Avenue to be Shut Down Overnight Saturday
The closures will reconfigure which lanes are currently closed on the street due to construction of the Gold Line Foothill Extension.
A portion of Santa Anita Avenue will be closed from 7 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday for Gold Line construction.
The closures will be for through traffic and will be on the segment from Colorado Blvd and Santa Clara St, according to a message sent out by the Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority. The closures will result in the reconfiguration of the current lane closures from outside lanes to inside lanes.
Following this reconfiguration, traffic will be diverted to two lanes northbound and two lanes southbound of Santa Anita Ave while crews continue bridge construction, according to the email.
La Porte Street will re-open to through traffic at Santa Anita Avenue and both northbound and southbound sidewalks will re-open following the reconfiguration.
