School Year Reduced in Baldwin Park
The Baldwin Park Unified School District announced that the 2012 school year will finish a week earlier than what was previously established.

Due to the budget cuts that have affected the (BPUSD) and that many teachers will have to take furlough days, the school year will end June 1st. instead of June 8th. as was previously established.
The announcement, published in the BPUSD website, states the measure was taken due to the state of California’s budget situation.

According to the BPUSD, this year’s school graduations will be as follows: as well as will have their graduation the June 1, 2012. The graduation at the will be May 31, 2012.
In addition, this Tuesday May 8 a public hearing will be held at the District Office in relation to the possibility of a “charter” type school in the district.

The Charter school would help students considered “at risk” grades 7th through 11th.
The meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. in the District Office at N. Holly Ave. 3699.
