Charges Dropped for Baldwin Park Resident in Azusa Robbery Case
Los Angeles County District Attorney rejected charges due to lack of evidence.

The L.A. County District Attorney determined that there was not enough evidence against a Baldwin Park man who was arrested, along with another individual, for a robbery in the city of Azusa.
According to Shiara Dávila Morales, spokeperson for the Attorney's office, Joseph Salazar, 32, will not be processed for the robbery charges presented by the Azusa Police Department.

Salazar was released on Monday, July 11.
Salazar and 22-year-old Erick Armando Cruz, a resident de Monrovia, were detained as they were driving together on Friday, June 8, after a man reported that Cruz had robbed him.

According to authorities, the victim's bicycle was taken on the 700 block of 5th St., around 8 p.m.Â
Both men were detained minutes after by Azusa Police, and arrested under suspicion of robbery.
Inside the vehicle, police found a firearm hidden under the driver's seat.
According to LA County Sheriff's Department records, Cruz is still detained with bail set at $ 50 thousand, and he will have to answer to the charges presented against him.
