Baldwin Park Animal Shelter Will Also Serve Azusa
Authorities said that starting on July 1 the shelter will replace the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society.
As early as next week, the will be in charge of providing control and care for animals in the city of Azusa, the Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) informed on Tuesday.
All animals that are picked up in Azusa streets will no longer be taken to the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, but instead to the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter located on Elton St.
In preparation for this transition, authorities are asking residents of Azusa to go to the Baldwin Park shelter if they need to surrender an animal for any reason.

Starting on July 1, residents of Azusa will have to visit that shelter to claim pets that have been picked up by DACC personnel.
The Baldwin Park shelter is located at 4275 Elton St. Their phone number is (626) 962-3577.

Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Friday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Missing animal pictures are also available at http://animalcare.lacounty.gov. Personal visits to the shelter are recommended.
