Baldwin Park Resident Named as Suspect in Sexual Assault
The man will have to appear before the West Covina Court on Tuesday. He had at least three prior citations for driving without a license and drug possession.

A man who claimed he resides in Baldwin Park is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, after being arrested in Rowland Heights for suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman.
Joey Vasquez, 21, is currently detained at the Walnut Sheriff's Department after his arrest on Saturday around 4 p.m., nearby Carolyn Rosas Park at 18400 Fajardo St.

According to Sgt. Angie Wilkinson, Vasquez was turned in by his uncle after being sought by authorities for four hours.
The L.A. Sheriff in Walnut said that Vasquez is a suspect in the sexual attack against a 20-year-old woman in Gloria Heer Park.

According to Sandi Gibbons, spokesperson from the Los Angeles County Attorney, charges for sexual assault still haven't been presented, but Vasquez's two prior criminal records were the reason for his arrest.
One of the charges was for driving with a suspended license in 2010, and the other is for possession of marihuana.
