City Approved 4th. of July Fireworks Show, Pavement of Alley
Those are among the measures taken last Wednesday night during the regular City Council Meeting.
The approved last night to award a contract for one pyrotechnic show that will be held on next 4th. of July and another for the construction of the Syracuse Alley improvements.

Based on the agreement presented to the city council in regards to the 4th of July Celebration, the city will pay $14,500 for one show to Pyro Spectaculars.
That amount of money includes an 18-minute custom designed, synchronized and choreographed sky concert. The show will be electronically fired and incorporates music and narrative, according to Manuel Carrillo, director of Recreation and Community Services.

For the construction of the Syracuse Alley, Moreno Engineering will be paid $54,905 for the improvements that consist of the construction of a an asphalt concrete pavement overlay south of Ramona Blvd, between Syracuse and Barnes Avenue (Check Photo Map in this story).
Additionally a concrete gutter will be contructed to allow for proper drainage of the alley.
