City To Discuss Emergency Notifications With Water Agencies

Weigh your opinion about this matter this Wednesday May 30th at 6:00 p.m. in the Arts and Recreation Center.

Following a the City Council will have a study session this Wednesday May 30th to discuss current policies and procedures in place by the Water District Providers to notify Baldwin Park residents in case of emergencies.

On March, Baldwin Park and La Puente Residents were warned of unsafe water by the San Gabriel Valley Water Co. due to high levels of the chemical perchlorate found in the drinking water.

Later water officials said that water was clean again after flushing of the toxic chemical.

According to the special agenda posted on the city website, representatives of the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, San Gabriel Valley Water Company, Valley County Water District and Valley View Mutual Water District will be in attendance.

There will be a public communications section for residents of Baldwin Park.

The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the located at 14403-B East Pacific Avenue.
