Gasoline Prices Drops To Lowest Amount Since February 1st.

The average price has dropped 44 times in 45 days. L.A County average price below 4 dollars.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped to its lowest amount since Feb. 1 today, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.976.

The average price has dropped 44 times in 45 days, falling 32.4 cents over that span, including 1.2 cents on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5.8 cents less than one week ago, 20.4 cents lower than one month ago and 25.2 cents below what it was one year ago.

"Los Angeles wholesale prices have dropped by about 30 cents since the beginning of April, or about 2 cents a day, so that should hopefully accelerate the retail gas price declines, provided the trend continues,'' said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California. ``Supply concerns seem to have been addressed in Southern California.''

The Orange County average price dropped 1.2 cents today to $3.939, its lowest amount since Feb. 1. It is 6.6 cents less than one week ago, 21.6 cents lower than one month ago and 26 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped 47 times in the past 51 days, falling 37.6 cents, including 1.1 cents on Thursday. It had increased 33 times in 34 days before the decreases began, rising 59.7 cents.
