Local school will receive $ 100,000 for computers

The John Shea Foundation will donate the money to St. John The Baptist Catholic School.

in Baldwin Park will receive a generous donation of $ 100,000 to improve its computer center and keep up to date with the latest technology, according to their facebook page.
 
The donation will come from the John Shea Foundation, one of the five foundations that this extensive Catholic family has.

“We are very excited and grateful that John Shea is pleased to assist in helping our students to succeed in education and in keeping up with the latest technology,” they posted on their page. “Thank you, May God Bless him abundantly” they added.
 
According to the American Catholics web page, the extensive Shea family is known for their generosity in helping local schools of the Los Angeles Archdioceses, through their five foundations.
 
The foundation of John and Dorothy focuses on providing funds to local kindergartens and computer labs in low-income neighborhoods. 
 
The St. The John Baptists School is an educational Catholic institution that focuses on academic and religious instruction from kindergarten all the way up to 8th grade, according to their website. To be admitted the students must pass entrance exams.
