New Fitness Zone in Morgan Park Set to Open this Week

The outdoor fitness zone in will be officially open this week after the special ribbon cutting ceremony that will take place on Thursday, August 2, according to Monica Killen, from the City's Department of Recreation and Community Services.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at Morgan Park near the basketball courts and soccer field. Invited speakers include the Baldwin Park City Council, County Supervisor Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation Director Russ Guiney and representatives from The Trust for Public Land.

According to Killen, the office of County Supervisor Gloria Molina played an instrumental role in bringing the City of Baldwin Park and The Trust for Public Land together.

Through this partnership, The Trust for Public Land selected Baldwin Park to have a fitness zone installed at Morgan Park.
