Police Blotter: Assault With a Deadly Weapon in Downtown

For the week running from Jan. 18 to Jan. 25, there were 20 major incidents reported by the to the Crime Reports Web site, including an assault with a deadly weapon close to .

The 20 incidents represented a reduction in criminal activity comparing the 43 reported in the same period last week.

Among other incidents were seven vehicle grand thefts, five break-ins and entering and two assaults.
