Police Seeking Gang Member Said to Have Threatened Witnesses
Authorities are looking for Héctor Guadalupe Mancinas, a 19-year-old documented gang member. One person has been arrested.
A documented gang member who made death threats against witnesses who testified against members of his gang is being sought by , according to Lt. David Reynoso, department spokesman.
On Jan. 31 at about 12:40 p.m., Héctor Guadalupe Mancinas, a 19-year-old and Steven Contreras, 41-year-old, both residents of Baldwin Park, threatened to kill two men who were traveling east in the 13300 block of Francisquito Avenue, using expletives and the phrase "snitches get stitches," police said.

The victims, who were not identified, drove into a nearby parking lot and were confronted again by the two suspects riding bikes.
Reynoso said Contreras simulated a handgun with the pointer finger and thumb of his right hand and pointed it at the victims.

Mancinas then blurted out another expletive and said: "Snitches get stitches. I’m gonna kill you and your family," according to Reynoso.
Contreras has been arrested and is being held at the North County Correctional Facility on $250,000 bail. He will be arraigned on Feb. 22, according to Sheriff Immate Records.
Mancinas remained at large Thursday. Police described him as Hispanic, 5 feet tall and 120 pounds with a shaved hair and "BP" tattooed on his chest and a "B" on his head.
