A Boost to Learning Programs in Baldwin Park
THINK Together in Baldwin Park Received 10K Grant from Kaiser Permanente.

THINK Together’s extended learning time programs at Baldwin Park schools received this Tuesday a healthy boost as officials deliver a $10,000 grant that will go toward wellness programs.
The program, an acronym for Teaching, Helping, Inspiring & Nurturing Kids (THINK), is one of the nation leading and largest nonprofit providers of extended-learning time programs like early literacy, after-school, small group tutoring and summer learning, among others.

They served more than 100,000 students at more than 400 locations across 30 school districts and more than 30 cities across including Baldwin Park.
The check was officially presented at in Baldwin Park. In addition to the $10,000 grant, Kaiser Permanente donated 270 pedometers to THINK Together students.

“This is realized in many ways, most notably through our work with local agencies and our community benefit grant program that enables us to address some of the health and social issues facing our communities," she added.
“We are excited to be one of the community partners who work with Kaiser,” said THINK Together CEO Randy Barth. “This grant will make it possible for us to expand the good work we are doing around health and wellness in Baldwin Park.”
