1 Dead In Beaumont House Fire

The blaze was reported at 5:15 a.m. at a one-story, single-family home in the 1000 block of Angus Court, according to the fire department.

BEAUMONT, CA — A house fire in Beaumont early Friday claimed one life and investigators were working to determine the cause of the blaze.

The fire was reported at 5:15 a.m. at a one-story, single-family home in the 1000 block of Angus Court, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

"One civilian victim perished at the scene," the agency reported.

No other injuries were reported and there was no word on possible displaced residents.

The blaze was contained at 5:48 a.m. but fire crews were expected to remain on scene in the residential neighborhood for much of the morning.
