2 Men ID'd In Fatal Crash In Banning

Authorities identified two men who were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Banning that also seriously injured two others.

BANNING, CA — The Riverside County coroner's office has identified two men who were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Banning that also seriously injured two others.

Christopher Saldana, 24, of Banning and James Darnell, 75, of Cabazon died in a collision that was reported at about 8:35 p.m. Friday.

The wreck occurred near the Ramsey Street on-ramp to Interstate 10 and the Banning Municipal Airport, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters freed the victims using hydraulic tools but Saldana and Darnell were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, fire officials said.
