2 Men Killed In Redlands Solo-Vehicle Crash

The fatal crash that killed two men in their 20s was reported shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

REDLANDS, CA — Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning after the vehicle they were traveling in struck a cement light pole and rolled in the 800 block of Pioneer Avenue in Redlands.

Redlands Fire Department crews arrived at the crash that was reported shortly before 1:30 a.m. and found the vehicle upside down with two people trapped inside, according to Redlands Public Information Officer Carl Baker.

Firefighters used extrication equipment to free the 25- and 26-year-old men. The two were pronounced dead at the scene, and their identities were not released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash cause remains under investigation by the Redlands Police Traffic Unit, according to Baker.
