2 Motorists, 1 Dog Killed In Head-On San Timoteo Canyon Road Crash

San Timoteo Canyon Road was closed between Alessandro Drive and Fern Avenue for approximately four hours during the crash investigation.

REDLANDS, CA — Details were released by the city of Redlands about a fatal head-on crash that shut down San Timoteo Canyon Road Tuesday night.

The crash involving a 2006 Acura Integra and a 2022 Ford Bronco was reported just before 8 p.m. in the 25500 block of San Timoteo Canyon Road, according to a city of Redlands news release.

The Bronco driver told authorities that he was heading west on San Timoteo Canyon Road when the eastbound Integra veered over the double-yellow line and collided with his vehicle.

Redlands police arrived at the scene and found the Bronco driver performing CPR on the female Integra driver. Redlands firefighter-paramedics arrived and took over lifesaving measures on the woman but she died at the scene, according to the news release.

A male passenger in the Integra died in an ambulance on the way to a local hospital, the news release stated.

The victims' identities were not released pending notification of next of kin.

Two dogs were also inside the Integra: one died at the scene and the other was transported with minor injuries to an animal hospital in Grand Terrace, according to the press release.

The Bronco driver was treated for injuries at the scene but declined transport to the hospital.

San Timoteo Canyon Road was closed between Alessandro Drive and Fern Avenue for approximately four hours during the crash investigation.

No arrests were announced. The crash remains under investigation by the Redlands Police Department.
