BANNING, CA — A Banning man was in custody Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence, elder abuse, kidnapping and child endangerment, police said.

Nicolas Lacasse, 43, was arrested Thursday without incident at his place of employment, according to the Banning Police Department.

Banning police said their detective bureau was contacted by the Orange County District Attorney's Office requesting assistance regarding a domestic violence case they were investigating that occurred in Newport Beach on July 4, 2023.

Investigators reported to the Banning PD that the involved parties were Banning residents, and said they allegedly found evidence of additional acts of domestic violence, elder abuse, kidnapping and child endangerment.

Lacasse was booked into the Smith Correctional Facility, and the case was forwarded to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.
