Blaze Damages Shed, 1 Acre Burns in San Jacinto
Two outbuildings burned along with a swath of brush nearby Wednesday afternoon.

SAN JACINTO, CA —A fire that erupted Wednesday near a San Jacinto intersection scorched an acre and damaged a shed before firefighters got it under control.
The non-injury blaze was reported at 1:45 p.m. in the area of Juanita Street and Esplanade Avenue, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames around two outbuildings, one of which had already been burned.

Firefighters deployed to protect the second structure, preventing the flames from reaching it, according to officials at the scene.
At 2:15 p.m., the blaze was fully contained, and it was extinguished 20 minutes later.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
