Boy Injured In Badlands Crash On Thanksgiving

The CHP said the victim flagged down passers-by, who called 911.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A teenager suffered a leg injury Thursday in a motorcycle crash just east of Moreno Valley.

The boy, whose identity was not released, had the solo accident about 1:35 p.m. while riding a dirt bike or similar two-wheeler through hilly terrain northeast of the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Gilman Springs Road, in a remote area known as the Badlands, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said the victim flagged down passers-by, who called 911.

The teen suffered a laceration to one of his thighs and was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment, according to reports from the scene.

CHP officers were investigating the crash.
