Local Mom The 'Definition Of A Fighter,' Family Says

BANNING-BEAUMONT, CA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

What makes my mom special is she is the definition of a fighter. From a kid, she has taught me the meaning of staying positive and confident even through the darkest times. She has battled cancer on and off for years and through it all she never let it stop her from being a supportive mother. Even when she didn’t feel good she made sure everyone around her felt amazing.

She is a mother to everyone and always thinks of others before herself. She taught me and my sisters the true meaning of being a kind generous human being. My mother's spirit lights up rooms, and her laugh and smiles capture everyone. She is an amazing wife, daughter, mother, friend, grandma, and boss. I could literally write a book and it still wouldn’t even be enough to say how proud I am of my mother and being her daughter.

I love you with all my heart and let you be blessed to make many more memories and even greater impacts on everyone around you. I LOVE YOU, MOM!

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

I feel my mother deserves the spotlight because she never stops to congratulate herself. She is always thinking and bending her back for everyone else and never stops to say, "Hey I’m doing great." I want her to know she is loved by many and we all see the effort she makes to be a great human being and the heart she has. My mother is the definition of humble. I just want her to know she is forever appreciated and not just on Mother’s Day but every day.
