Pedestrian Killed By Vehicle On Highway 111 In Whitewater
A pedestrian on Highway 111 in Whitewater was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday, whose driver called in to report the collision.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 111 west of Whitewater Sunday.
The crash occurred just before 5:20 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway south of Interstate 10, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A CHP dispatcher reported that a person called in and said, "I just hit somebody -- possibly a person."

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics were deployed to the scene before investigators from the county coroner's office arrived, according to the CHP.
