Suspect Sought In Fatal Jurupa Valley Hit-And-Run

Authorities Sunday were searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 41-year-old pedestrian dead in Jurupa Valley.

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — Authorities Sunday were searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 41-year-old pedestrian dead in Jurupa Valley.

The crash was reported at 8:25 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Rubidoux Boulevard, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Luke Torres.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man with major injuries on the west dirt shoulder of Rubidoux Boulevard, Torres said. The man, identified as Robert Ibrahim of Temecula, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told investigators that a vehicle hit the victim and sped off heading southbound on Rubidoux Boulevard. The witness described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored sedan that should have damage to the front passenger side and side-view mirror.

Anyone with information about the crash was urged to contact Deputy Nancarrow at the Jurupa Valley sheriff's station at 951-955-2600.
