Toddler Among 5 People Injured In San Jacinto Crash

A multicar crash at Bridge Street and Gilman Springs Road led to five being hospitalized, according to California Highway Patrol

SAN JACINTO, CA — A three-vehicle crash Friday just north of San Jacinto injured five people, including a toddler.

The multi-vehicle wreck occurred at 2:10 p.m. at the intersection of Bridge Street and Gilman Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said that an SUV, a pickup and a Cadillac sedan impacted at the intersection, resulting in major damage to each vehicle.

The circumstances behind the collision weren't immediately clear.

Both sides of Gilman Springs were blocked.

Riverside County Fire Department crews reached the location within a few minutes and found occupants of each vehicle suffering moderate injuries.

The CHP said that a toddler was among them.

The five victims were taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment.

As of 3 p.m., Gilman Springs remain partially blocked, while the CHP conducted a preliminary investigation and the wreckage was cleared.

The corridor was expected to be fully reopened by 4 p.m.
