Caltrain To Suspend Hillsdale-Palo Alto Service Again This Weekend
Electrification work will suspend a stretch of Caltrain service this weekend between San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

BELMONT, CA — Caltrain will suspend service for the second weekend in a row between Hillsdale and Palo Alto as crews finish up critical elements of the agency's major electrification project. Crews are putting the finishing touches along the entire corridor this year as Caltrain prepares to begin service on the modernized line with new, fully electric trains.
The work requires weekend shutdowns in different areas throughout the year ahead of next year's opening. Like last weekend, the upcoming service interruption will suspend service at stations between Hillsdale and Palo Alto between July 22 and 23.
Caltrain officials encourage regular riders to seek alternative transit during the closure. Bus bridge service will be available, but officials warn that delays could add up to an hour to travel times. Passengers at the Menlo Park station can find the bus bridge stop at Merrill Street.
