Cutting Your Own Holiday Tree This Year? Here's Where to Chop

Check out this map of places around the Bay Area to chop down your own tree.

If you're the type to strap on your hiking boots, button up your flannel shirt and start swinging your ax in pursuit of the perfect holiday tree, Patch is here to point you in the right direction.

The map above lists places around the Bay Area to get in touch with your inner Paul Bunyan this holiday season:

Patchen California Christmas Tree Farms (Santa Cruz Mountains)
Santa's Tree Farm and Village (Half Moon Bay)
Four C's Christmas Tree Farm (Half Moon Bay)
Four Winds Christmas Trees (Santa Cruz Mountains)
Larsen's Christmas Tree Farm (Petaluma)

Don't have time to make a day of it?  There are plenty of already-cut live tree lots between Belmont and Redwood City, including Steve's Trees on El Camino Real in San Carlos and ABC Tree Farm, also on El Camino Real in San Carlos. In addition, St. Pius Catholic Church (1100 Woodside Rd), Honey Bear Trees (955 Woodside Rd.), Wegman's Nursery (492 Woodside Rd.) in Redwood City and Home Depot (1125 Old County Rd. in San Carlos) are selling cut trees. All will open the day after Thanksgiving.
