Did You Witness This First Day of School Hit-and-Run?

A Belmont mom's parked car was struck as she walked her kids to school at Central last Wednesday. She and police are hoping a witness comes forward.

Hello Neighbors;

I'm coming to our greater community because this past Wednesday my gray/green Mazda CX9 was parked on Middle St at 8 a.m. for our first day at Central Elementary and was struck by an Gold Minivan driven by a female.

The driver did not leave a note and has yet to come forward. A witness actually exchanged words with her and the witness stated many others were present during the incident.

If you witnessed the incident can you please contact me? Even if it was simply that you were present.

The Belmont police have classified this a hit and run, and we would appreciate any leads. Repairs are costly and I'd truly appreciate ANY information you can offer. The police department has said if the person steps forward & is cooperative, which is what we hope will occur, the charge of hit & run will be dropped.

Thank you
