Illegal Assault Rifles, Firearms Parts Seized In Belmont Op: Cops
Belmont police say they seized the items during the service of a search warrant in town.
BELMONT, CA — A Belmont man was jailed this week after police say they found "several illegal weapons" in his possession. Belmont police say Dylan Zugar, 27, is now facing possible charges of possession of illegal firearms and manufacture of illegal weapons.
At around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Belmont police served a search warrant in the 300 block of Chesterton Avenue, according to Capt. Patrick Halleran.
"The search, which was part of an investigation to illegal weapons, was conducted without incident and several illegal assault rifles and firearms parts were seized," Halleran said in a news release.

Zugar was arrested without incident and was taken to the Redwood City jail, Halleran said. The case is bing submitted to the San Mateo County District Attorney's office for prosecution.
